I have been going round it with a while now but i just dont like it anymore..

Ask Prince...

He was forced to change it because his record label kept the rights to his name for the longest. So he made the name "Formally Known As Prince". Though now he's back to being called Prince (Not that everyone knew him different)

But imo, never to late to change your artist name. Theres quite a few examples out there of artists doing so.

Unless you have a pretty big following for an unknown band (where people can mention your name and most people recognize it) I think you should change your name to something you prefer. Easier sooner than later.

Make sure you check the trademark office as well as the internet (myspace, reverberation etc) to see if anyone else is using the name. Otherwise you might have to change it again.

Unless you have a following and a back catalog, it's not going to make much difference.

As far as P. Diddy goes, he can change his name all the time because people actually pay attention to him. Every time he changes his name, it makes the news.

If you are in that catagory of having decent sales and a healthy catalog but Good Morning America won't spend 10 minutes discussing your new name, you are better off keeping it what it is. Unless it's a different project that goes a different direction.

Im now the artist formerly known as pissed....until Friday
