Anyone got arrangement thoughts?

Came back to this again with fresh ears and fresh thoughts about direction.

I did happen to find a local trumpet player, but we've not yet set a date to lay down any tracks ... as he's terribly busy. He has said he would though, when he gets a chance. In the meanwhile, this placeholder will have to do.

I attempted to widen and better define each instrument in a more pinpointed position, as well as add better tone and definition to Jeff's bass part, which I think is superb.

New mix is at the head of the thread ...

Great song,

I thought the first break didnt work (0.40) I'd keep the groove going.
I'd use the ride out "left her behind" earlier in the song as a second chorus and go back to it at the end. Its arranged well as is too. Excellent work.

That point strikes me as slightly clunky too. Good thought.

Silly me. I still think the chorus is too much like the rest of the song energy/dynamic wise. I here something fuller, higher energy there. (more vocals) The song is really very good as it is, I'll look for it when you finish it.
2cents

bgv's over the chorus are next on the production list, P. :)
