High end audio interface without onboard mic pres!?

I'm going to make an upgrade from my Tascam 1082 Audio Inteface to some higher end gear.
So primarly what I need in the moment is high quality audio interface with top notch AD/DA converters and DSP functions without onboard mic pres.

Any suggestions will be much helpfull...tnx.
 
How much are you looking to spend? How many channels? If you want the absolute best, you have to get Lavry. The Black series is two channels; the A/D is about $1200 and the D/A is about $800, used.
 
I agree on the Presonus- not that i'll ever afford it. I also have the Tascam though and love it- you not happy with the sound?

I have around 1500$ of budget for an interface.Anyway I'm not sure how I'm going to connect the Lavry with my PC?!

Btw first of all I was thinking about Metric Halo and RME Fireface or RME HDSP 9632 (PCI card) but both MH and Fireface have onboard mic pres which probably I will never use so the HDSP 9632 is an option close to what I'm looking for though I'm not familiar with its converters.

I'm happy with my Tascam. No problems at all :D
Excellent drivers,fine mic pres and ADA converters for its price but it doesnt have the features I need now.
I need DSP mixing and processing tools....I need better DA for better monitoring and outboard signal processing and I need an upgrade
from my Tascam which I love whatsoever:D:D
