Also do i just need 1 of these and the microphone OR do i have to buy 1 of those and an interface and a microphone ?

Those are pretty much the same, except the 802 has more inputs than the 502. You would still need an interface, like the Behringer U-Control.

Quite a few interfaces have phantom power and XLR inputs (but not the aforementioned U-Control).

If you really want a little mixer, Alesis makes a small cheapish one for just under $70 on Amazon. This one has built in USB so you don't have to have another interface.

EDIT: You only need an interface if you want to use it with your computer, which I assumed you do. You could also just plug one of the mixers you listed into the line-in on your computer's sound card. It would probably require an RCA audio to 3.5mm cable.

thanks , im not looking for a mixer to be honest , im just looking to use the condensor mic with my computer ....

EDIT: my computer supports USB and firewire , im looking for something that can be used with my mic to record in 24 bit :)

Mic to computer, you don't need a mixer. You want a small interface with built in preamp and phantom power. There are tons of varieties available.

One thing to consider is that most interfaces will come with a lite version of a DAW program so that gets you some software as well.

Here is some good reading on interfaces:

thank you that is what i was trying to say :L

iv got my programs so thats ok haha

i just need an interface with phantom power...since im on a tight budget i can only get something worth under $120 US dollars because shipping prices are high...i can only use maximum of $250 nz dollars(including shipping) which is equivillant to about $160 us dollars.

Example:
Lets Say I Buy a 2 pound(shipping weight) interface , that would cost me $40+ us dollars shipping incl tax / gst ...so the interface will have to be about $100 - $115 us dollars ...

im just trying to keep the price AS LOW AS possible.

OK, Here is a brief sampling from Sweetwater priced from low to high. These are just examples, like I said there are literally hundreds that fit your criteria.

You may also want to have a look at e-bay. I have bought all kinds of stuff and have yet to get burned. Have gotten some great deals though. Musicians are always upgrading so there is lots for sale.
