I've gotta get up in the morning for work, and I've been mixing way too much this week already. When you originally posted the file, I thought to myself, "Ain't no way I'll have time to mix this one."... Yeah right.. So, tonight I loaded your song up around 11:30, thinking to myself, "Yeah, I'll have a quick go at this, and get to bed soon." Uh-huh, right.

2.5 hours, and 35 tracks later, I'm posting this blasted message letting cyberspace know that your song rocks.

Here's my version. Don't throw stones, but I've never heard the Bowie version, so - this is 100% without pretense.

Thanks for allowing us to do this, Gerg. Even though I'll most likely be in the dog-house for a week due to this, it's still awesome of ya to give people the opportunity to mix real music. I'd venture to say that over half the people who participate in this will have never had the opportunity to mix any acoustic drums worth crap before.

So... You're awesome... and I hate you. Go write some crappy music for a change... That way I won't be compelled to kill myself to mix it. :mad: :D
 
Lol. Thanks PI. I have quite a few crappy new originals I'm working on that you won't have to mix. :D

PI, Good mix, but I think your mastering process may have killed your intro. It sounds like the follow up guitar is getting caught in the compression. :spank:
