This is getting annoying

How in the hell do all these random people on MySpace mass add/comment/event invite and message?!?!
Do they actually PAY to be able to send tons of adds to people who really dont care just to increase their number of friends?
Any comments on how they do it?
 
Yes... but there are some online tools that allows you to add a lot of friends with 1 click. The problem is, they are not quality friends or fans, they are aiming to the 1 of 100 that actually hear your music. I quit myspace for that reason... now i'm in reverbnation, works a lot better than myspace and it has a lot of tools for marketing. With no much effort now i'm getting like 300 visits by day, las week they were like 700 in a day and like 50 or more plays by day. Cool, with no much effort.

hahahaha, the thing is, with my other band i change from myspace to reverbnation :D, that's why i'm keeping this signature.

I'm on reverbnation, and I don't get jack shit for visits or plays. How do I sucker fools into my page?
 
Hi greg it's very easy... there's a widget application to add your music on facebook, myspace or any blog, post it there and your band equity will start to improve. When you reach the first page or the first places in the chart, more people will visit your site, so at first you have to place those widgets everywhere you can, like MTV blogs, Friends or Enemies, etc. You have to make yourself fan of many other bands or labels not only to get them to visit your site, but when you start being a fan, your name will appear in their site, so a lot of people click there (really, they do!!)... Try to be fan of those who are in the N°1 or 2 in the charts, they have a lot of visits, leave a comment on their site (be nice so they approve your comment :D).

There's also the fan reach option, send a massive mail to everyone in your list... personally I don't like this very much because i had no good results, like you said in other posts, they are in the 98% deleted. But on the other hand 2% did click to check my site, and is no waste of time, because is too darn easy and fast.

That is pretty much what i do... but i do it every day (not the massive email). I post on twitter, myspace and facebook my current chart position, and other stuffs, i add songs once in a while or a new version, just to make people (or fool people as you say hahaha) get interested.

As many guys said, you may know what to do, but if you don't take action right now, then don't even bother.

Well thanks for the info. I don't do myspace, facebook, twitter, blogs, etc, so I guess I'm screwed.

I guess not. No pay, no gain hahaha, but if you find a way please tell us.

I found a website to add a lot of people with 1 click, but they where all whores hahaha.

Well... mmmm... you can also pay someone to do all this stuffs for you, but i think that's not an option ¿right?, also, you could pay for adding banners into a website or use google ads. It's all up to your imagination.

On facebook i bought 2 dollars for publicity (CPC). Targeted my listeners and i got 27 fans (54% of the people who click on the advise became a fan), is not too much i know, but the ratio is good, and just 6 dollars (2 dollars per day) for 3 days. I think you could do the same with google ads, of course, it a lot less targeted.

Right on.

Sometimes I think to myself "maybe I should try to promote myself better", and then I snap back to reality and kick myself in the nuts because it's totally pointless and stupid to even try.
