im using cool edit pro to record, and i just realized when i say words with hard "k" sounds, like "cool" or "cat" , it sounds bad in the mic, does anyone know how to fix that???

do you have a pop filter?
it's hard to put the diagnose before hearing anything

Back off the mic some ...or have the mic up some at eye level so as your ploddings of K C S T etc are not accented by proximity effect.

dont use 1930's jazz phrases like "cool cats"



yup use a pop filter and dont sing/speak directly into the mic but offset at an angle...so its not really fixing but rerecording...a fact of life im afraid
