I am converting from Sonar Producer 7 to Reaper as we speak.
I notice Reaper picked up right away on all the plugins I use in Sonar, including Dimension Pro. I have only run into a few that Reaper would not use, with an error message about "Plugin xyz is only licensed for use in Sonar" or something to that effect. Fair enough, they weren't my favorite plugs any way. I was pleasantly surprised that it picked up on Dimension Pro, which I bought as a separate upgrade months after I had been running Sonar, so I assume Dimension Pro can be installed without having Sonar on the machine?
That's pretty much my question..... how much of the plugs I use in Sonar can I use in Reaper if Sonar is removed or not installed on my computer? Or do I have to leave Sonar installed and just not use it, in order to get access to those plugs?
Most of what I use I added on separately from Sonar, but if I can use a few of the better things from inside Sonar, that would be nice. If not, it wont stop me from using Reaper.....I'm just askin....
