Mic to Mixer to Breakout Box?

I am using FL studio 8 and i cant seem to record with my MXL 900 condenser mic. My mic is plugged into my mixer, which runs to the breakout box ins and outs 1+2 from the return and send jacks on the back of the mixer. wondering why FL studio will not pick up sound from mic. Thanks

I'm not sure why you are using the 'return and send jacks'. Try using the mixer's main outs, left and right.

Does your mixer have 48 volt phantom power turned on?
