Hmmm...The bed will be an acoustic advantage.
I would suspect because you want to base your audio decisions solely on what comes out of the monitors, not what is bounced off of the walls.why do you say that?

What would be the ramifications of lining one (or more) of the walls of your studio with these? 72" x 84" for $92.

as for bouncing off the walls, many prefer natural reverb if its balanced and under control, although you can get it digitally too, so it shouldn't be a problem.
