Lol @ people getting all defensive over spending way too much for a bass. :laughings: :laughings:

I have a roland elec drum kit and my neighbors complained too cus I`m upstairs...I moved it away from the window and put it on one of those rubber industrial floomats like the ones used in bars and restaurants and now they cant hear it at all and bang that thing at 2 in the morning!! As far as Your garage you should be okay garage door openers are electric...

I LOVE the idea of the heavy mats!! I'm gonna see if i can get my hands on one asap lol, thanks.

Yeah shame on me for not overpaying for a fucking bass. :laughings: :laughings:

You should be ashamed Greg ...but I'm not sure I've seen a bass f*cking before. Lets try fitting that into the act! :laughings::laughings::laughings::laughings:

But then you'd have a bunch of little bass mouths running around to feed.

If you're playing on stage (like me) in the London Astoria, it even looks better than your average "Target-store-bought" bass lol.
I guess you compromise when it comes to recording :rolleyes:. But if you want crappy recordings, then stick to your squire and stagg guitars LOL!
I look forward to hearing your recordings pls! :laughings:

All i wanted from this thread is info on moving my electric kit :/ lol!

Lol. I've got a bunch in the clinic. Help yourself, you goofy n00b. :laughings: :laughings: :laughings:

You really should look around a little before you say something stupid.

I haven't heard anything from you, but I'll put my recordings up against yours any day you want. ;)

I never intended to come off as cocky, but if you want to challenge my recordings etc.... lets do it!
To hear my recordings :
1. Go to iTunes and type in "Blind Friday", select a song from the album "Wake Up"
2. Buy my album at CDbaby/iTunes
3. Click on the links below, for songs from our old album.
The second song on these links won us an award for "Best unsigned band" from Ireland, and played us on the radio, everyday.

I want the new ProTools HD system, but its like £10,000, so screw that. However, i make do with what i have, and i guess it sounds ok, people buy it.

(The new stuff is better, but haven't completed the second album yet. Here's our first one)

We're endorsed by :
* Framus amps
* PRS
* Gretch
* Warwick (bass amps baby)
I buy expensive stuff because i want my work to sound like i hear it in my head, and sell it. I may be a "goofy noob" because i spend that much on a bass, but when im touring with my band, or recording in my studio, i don't see £2000. I'm doing what i always wanted to do in The London Astoria, and Oxygen Festival etc, which is to play a great bass, LOUD!

So, where can i find your music, Greg? I'm genuinely interested, seeing as how you come across in the forums with your "Better do some research" attitude, when all i wanted to know was "Will cold damage my electric drum kit!" lol
The reason I'm telling you this stuff about me and my band, is to show you that I'm a working musician, and not as n00b as you think, just because i dont have 6,000 posts on a forum, but only 30. If this is how YOU treat newbies on this forum, the people who respect you on these forums will see your attitude toward newbies, and will frown. Shame on you sir.
Don't judge a book by its cover.
(Fun thread)

Any retarded jackass can get their shitty music on CDBaby/itunes, I'm not buying anything, your endorsements don't mean jack shit, and I don't want to hear your stupid band. I want to hear YOUR recordings. This is a home-recording website. I do everything myself. I didn't call you a n00b for buying a 2000 dollar bass. I called you a n00b for calling out someone that has posted over 60 songs in here - some good, some bad. I don't care. Like I said, look around dipshit. It has nothing to do with post count. Good luck with your electronic drums. :laughings: :laughings:

Well, this is one hijacked pissing match thread. Some guy asks if he can put his e-kit in the garage, and we wind up debating the merits of a $6000+ fake relic bass. Then it becomes - "I'm a real recording artist, so I have credentials"- "So what, big deal". Is a $2000 (in this case $3500, really) bass worth it? Only if you have $3500. Me, I'm not a bass player, but I needed something to test and set up the bass rig in the studio, and what the hell, I like to screw around with things, so I own that $100 Squier P-bass (actually $129 with the hard case). And, having played some real basses - Les Paul Studio (yes they used to build one), Rick, etc., I don't think the Squier is all that bad. It's the only Chinese guitar I've ever played that didn't totally suck.
But that said, here's some perspective. When we were tracking my album, I was honored to have the assistance of Audrey White, professor of strings at the New England Conservatory. Her viola, an 18th century piece, cost $40,000. The Amati bow another $15,000 (The hair came from a gold plated horse). Kind of makes me glad I'm a guitarist. My guitars range in price from about $3500 to $80, and every one of them has its purpose. Even Audrey owns a $200 viola that she can take camping. But I do agree that those Fenders with the finish screwed up on purpose are stupid, like "distressed" jeans. I prefer to wear the guitar out myself, thank you.
In the end, I don't think $2000 is an excessive amount for a semi-pro or pro to pay for an instrument. If I had a dollar for every person on this board who has shelled that much out for a guitar, or a mic, preamp, drum kit, keyboard, harp, or whatever, I bet I could take a free trip to Florida.

BTW-Yo Rimshot! It's good to see you here every so often. I saw K.C. at twelfth night, and it made me think of you!-Richie

Just to get back on topic, your neighbours complaining over the sound from the kick-pad is laughable.

Interesting, since it seems that you're the one that started this whole thing and now you want out.

No I didn't. I asked about a 2000 dollar bass, people took that personally for no reason, and here we are. Feel free to shut the fuck up now.

That's what I thought. Tell em to get fucked they can call the cops if they don't like it. Cops would laugh their asses off at someone complaining about click click click. My wife's hairdryer is 10x as loud as a kick pad.

See now Greg, you're getting all confused and flustered. You couldnt tell the difference between a $100 bass to a $2000 one, but when i tell you about recording with crap guitars, you challenged me by putting up your recordings against mine anyday. Yet i still don't see any information as to where i can find/buy your music. Why would i rent a studio if i had my own? We're talking about quality of the recordings, right? This is why you challanged me im assuming. Well, there you go, those are my home recordings. I used my band to show you what i can make, with a decent drummer/vocalist/guitarist. You wanted a challange right? So, if any "retard" can get their music in iTunes, what should i type in iTunes to hear your music? ......Or can i find your music on lightning mp3 or something?

I thought you wanted a challenge, it turns out you don't forward me your music after i let you hear my recordings lol :laughings: Whats the deal with that? Give up? (You asked for this btw, and i know you listened to my recordings out of curiosity)

lmao good point! lol @ the hairdryer :laughings:

Lol. You assumed my recordings sucked. It seems that you issued the challenge. Did you not say this?

I then informed you that I've posted many. Go find them, and come back and say how bad they suck. That's what everyone does when they get pussyhurt by me. :laughings:
