Did you read the user guide for your software?

Read abuot audio harware settings in these program and you will be able to monitor!

If you're having a problem with monitoring, it's probably a problem with you SOUNDCARD, not your sequencer.

Have you checked the playback settings in your computer, sounds like you may have something muted. right click (or double click) the speaker icon on your taskbar, click open volume control, click options, choose properties. Make sure you have the options you want active for both recording and playback and be sure you have the corect drivers and soundcard active. When I first tried digital recording I had the same problem and this is how I fixed it. Hopefully it will help you too.
