Behringer UMX61, Presonus Firebox, and Cubase LE

Please Help!

I have read so much info but have still been unable to hook my Behringer UMX61 USB/MIDI controller keyboard in a way that records with low latency with my Presonus Firebox using Cubase LE. I've tried hooking the keyboard independently via USB (signal, but big latency) and different variations plugging it through the Firebox (no signal, no sound). I am new to MIDI, but have had much success with the Firebox, Cubase LE and acoustic recording. I am perplexed that the UMX61 only has a MIDI output and no plug for input. Have I made a compatibility blunder? Please help!

Hmm.. what are your pc specs? I don't think the problem is your controller keyboard.. I think maybe you're lacking processing power here..

You don't need a midi input on your controller unelss you're going to use your DAW and other midi devices to trigger the actual audio from your keyboard.. which if that is just a midi controller only.. or if that's all you're using it for.. then you only need the output so don't worry about that.

I'm thinking that this is either a pc problem, or settings within Cubase.. maybe you need a better firewire chipset.. Check the buffer size settings.. make sure you're using the asio drivers and not directx..
