Yes. Mechanically the transports are the same, the only difference is in the N/R used as Beck said, so it'll use the RC-416.

Be wary of the Dolby version. When it fails (the circuit/chip) it cannot be repaired acording to experts. Do a search over at Tascam Forums on this problem. Here's one thread. http://tascamforums.com/index.php?showtopic=17212&hl=msr-16
