Guys,
Check out this auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320366569343&fromMakeTrack=true

This unscrupulous seller is listing a Tascam 34B with my photos, that I posted here several years back:
https://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=127756
https://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?threadid=111816

I already emailed the seller to take down the photos or I'll report him to eBay, I said.

Guys, back me up, send a message to him via eBay, 'cause I don't want someone to get scammed.

Thanks! :(

I'm also contacting eBay right now 'cause there's also a chance that his account got jacked and someone else is using it. I'll report back.

Damn, I checked out his "other items" and am even more suspicious now that this guy's account was compromised. His eBay id is radioactivated

Look at the inactivity since December of last year to now listing well photographed and very popular items. If it's not a jacked account then he's pulling others' photos / descriptions.

Check the fine print at the bottom of the auction... he's claiming copyright to your photos and warning others not to use them.

He's also running a script playing stolen background music. That figures.

Aye, the 'cloud' is full of villans all right.

14 bids already.

It'll be interesting to see if eBay react at all.

Someone's gonna get burnt if they don't I fear.

This happened to me a few years ago on a nuemann mic I was selling. I contacted the guy and he said that he didn't have a picture of his so he used mine. He did say on his auction that it was not a picture of the actual mic (after I contacted him).

That is bizarre. :D

Those are really nice pictures Daniel. He actually takes credit for the copyright for them? And he has 100% feedback with over 500 sales.

is it me or is there music playing on an ebay ad?

So nice that he even included a shot of the rear showing the serial number.

Hey, nice pics. Can I use 'em?

Just KIDDING!

With that music playing it makes it more mysterious and suspenseful.

...someone .......... stole Daniels identity...

I sent him a message and asked if this was the actual serial no. We'll see what he says.

He seems to have a history of buying scuba gear. I notice that he has a piece of scuba gear listed for sale, so, it may not be a hijacked account. I would still make him take down the pix if they were mine though. I can't help but wonder if all the other pix for his other items were also stolen.

I reported it also with a link back to your post #8 in the thread you linked to. I bet they don't do anything though.

The music is from Pirates of the Caribbean.

PIRATES!!!

That’s the hidden message of the music. :D

By the way, I reported it for the photos and the illegal music script.

Too bad... has perfect feedback, but he may have been doing this sort of thing all along... just a "good" salesman. It doesn’t bother me if people use stock photos as long as they say so, but his use of these photos imply they are the actual unit he has for sale.

Hey Daniel, this guy didn’t buy your 34B, did he? :o
