Let me first say that none of the plug-ins or software mentioned is or was pirated. That said, I have a project that I mixed at my friend's studio, and his legally-obtained (straight from a sales rep for the company: he went to one of the recording schools around here) Waves SSL Channel plugin expired. It was some sort of a trial/demo deal he got from his school, and obviously if they were cracked, they wouldn't have expired, and/or he could simply crack them again. This, however, was not the case.
Anyway, point being, I have a project that used the plugin extensively, and now that it has expired, I'm not sure what I can do. The project has already been completed, bounced, mastered, and released, so it's not an emergency or anything, but I'd like to be able to bounce down stems for future editing/re-mixing/whatever, and I'd like to keep the sound we created in the studio vs. trying to hack together some of his other plugins.
Any ideas? I've debated trying to crack the plug-in just to bounce down what I need, then un-installing it, but I really don't like doing it, I'm not currently doing it, I haven't done it for years (all of my software has been legally obtained), and I'm morally against it as my father is a software engineer, so if there's ANY other way around my problem (other than paying $1200 for software I need to use for one day, and that I can't use after that as I don't have a TDM system myself). It says the demo won't work on systems that have the full version installed :/
