Hiya chaps

Can anyone help. I have a small pa with a desk that uses onboard effects and they are ok. However I use a sennheiser in ear monitor system for live work and bought an Alesis Midiverb 4 for a separate mix in my ear. The problem is I feel that this unit is more suited to recording than live work. I am trying to get an old rock and roll effect for my vocal similiar to 'Be Bop A Lula' lol. A kind of almost ADT with a bit of verb. I have briefly tried to edit some of the default effects and save them to the user area of the unit - but being an absolute novice - I get lost quickly and the edited effects are pitiful!!!. Can anyone give me advice on this please.

i had a midiverb 4 for years. it has ok tape delay...i think it's in the first 10 patches. editing the delay (30-60ms) and regeneration (maybe 40-50%) in the box is not hard. then save it ito a user preset.

i used this for exactly the type of effect you're talking about for years. a modified tape delay and #25 plate reverb were all i could find in that box that i really could use. it's ok though...for live stuff as well as recording...
