finding the beats per minute of a song

i wanted to know if theres an easy way to find the bpm of a song in an mp3?

is there a simple program out there i can use for this?

edit: im using audacity so maybe there is a plugin i dont know about? that would work too

Not to be a smart a** You should develop your ear tap your foot to the beat of the music for 15 sec them multiply it by 4. If you play music your foot is already doing the tap for you. Hope this helps until you find a program to do it for you

ah yeah i heard you could do that

the only thing that bothers me about it is that i dont know how accurate im being with it...thats why i was asking about a program or something. thanks though! ill try it untill something else comes along
 
I have a Korg tuner with a tap tempo. If we're jamming out a song or whatever, I pull it out and tell them to play at a comfortable speed. I think it was about $30.
