That is impossible. It says right in your avatar that you are Number One...

I haven't posted on this thread yet, but since I'm a forum rat who has never attained any notoriety or traction in my field, I thought I should :o

Drop it man. The anonymity of the internet makes us all into assholes from time to time. I think it's time to just let it go though. Trolling around here is making these guys laugh and giving you high blood pressure. I guarantee you that your comments on here are pure comedy for everyone posting in this thread. So just chill out, and maybe head on over to a different message board for a fresh start. There are a lot of them to choose from.

Just from watching this all unfold from the sidelines, I see that Youngbrave seems to be fairly articulate when he speaks (writes). But then again so is Obama who is running for Pres of USA   (and I am not comparing Youngblood to Obama, I wouldnt do that to anyone...lol)
Anyway, thats not the norm for a typical stripperhead scammer. Could his listing be a scam,,,,sure,,,,but if its not, why would we not want to have the option to buy these items if they are truely good deals.

So the question is, instead of blasting this guy, is there a way so that IF someone would want to buy something he is selling, that BOTH parties are gaurenteed their due?

Example, say I buy something he has listed, Youngbrave, would you be willing to ship it COD?? That way I am gaurenteed the product, and you are gaurenteed the payment (and it's fairly traceable). That should solve some things......wouldnt it?? or pay with Paypal or have the item listed as Buy It Now on Ebay,,,those two places will insure the transaction if things go south. I should know, I got scammed for $600.00 on ebay for a new recording desk that never arrived. Got all my money back, and fairly quick too.

Just throwing out an idea to maybe resolve this, because it's happened before with new members posting items for sale as their first posting, and some have been good deals and very legit. Others,,,,,well have been plain scams.

I know it sucks when a Nub comes in and the first or only thing they do is post a "For Sale" ad, but what if that is an actual item for sale at a great price. Should we lose out because we are judging based on their board history?? Man that would suck if it was a nice piece going cheap and we missed the boat.

Instead of everyone bitching and judging other people on here,,,,,isnt there a more practical solution that might work for everyone involved like examples mentioned above???

Peace
AJ

I agree with you. But the fact is that youngbrave has not even tried to prove that he can be trusted. We don't even know if the items actually exist. He didn't show prices or pictures of the items. He has not offered proof of positive transactions on ebay or any other site. He never mentioned other boards that he frequents or is well known at. He has also stated that he is only here to sell things and has no intention of becoming a respected member of our community. All of these things are red flags.
I freely admit that I am only here at this point because I have something to sell.

I never intended to be of use to the forum, other than that I have provided valuable goods for sale. So it is my gear that is of use to the buyers not me.

But you can rest assured that I am more than happy to be personally useless to all of you. I couldn't imagine finding a common ground with which to interact together and discuss anything recording related and have any valuable outcome

Does that really sound like a trustworthy individual that you would want to hand over a wad of cash to?

First I wouldnt "hand over a wad of cash",,,no,,,not until I had product in hand (the C.O.D. method). Thats just common business practice with the Internet and dealing with a new seller/board member.

Youngbrave, I know you probably feel you have no need to "prove" your trustworthyness (<--- is that a word...lol), but would or could you post some pics of the items?

I did PM him for a price on the Mackie, and he responded right away with a price.

I dont know this guy from Adam, but I just have this feeling that he is on the up and up. And after all the bashing and neg reps (guilty before proven guilty), my guess is I wouldnt want to stay on the board either with that kind of welcome. But I do understand the frustration of some from the history of scams. Welcome to the Internet!!

Again, I am not real gullable when it comes to deal making (except that damn studio desk I fell for), but if this guy can appease the crew on here with some pics and prices, and possibly a way to make the transaction thats safe for both parties, I think I could give him the benefit of the doubt, and stop a lot of bitching and griping.

Youngbrave,,,whatcha think? Anything to offer??

Peace
AJ

Chrissake, give the poor bastard a break guys.............

PM sent.

Oh make no mistake I'm not taking this serious. I was at the doctor's yesterday and my BP is 120/72. I'm chilled. Just making sport of the others taking it so seriously, not the other way around...

Sure, Paypal is fine by me and offers protection for both parties - and thanks for being another voice of reason in this. Finally, a post that outlines the issues but looks for a solution other than to dismiss me as a scammer. Much appreciated.
