Hey Guys,

I decided to remix this one. Tell me if you think it's Ok.

...and no, I really do like women:D

Cheers

Great guitar tone, and that bass is kicking ass... but I am just at the intro and typing as I listen as always...

I like the phone effect, I wish I could emulate that, but I am not sure of the eq settings. I know there are plugins that do that automatically, but I don't like the easy way out. I want to know how to do it myself.

Your voice is still my biggest envy. I am going to take some lessons. I found out by accident that I can almost hit every note in a couple Stryper songs...

No nits from me, man... I like it just the way it is. Of course, I have to go back and listen to the original mix again so that I can compare. You still have it up on your site?

Thanx Eddie!

Yeah, the original mix is still up on my myspace page. The phone effect is actually quite easy to do. Just put the lows and the highs on the voice down and raise the low and high mids moving them close together. Singing lessons really do help, as with all other instruments;)

Hey Simman,

YEAH, PLAY IT LOUD:D
(it kind of hides the imperfections in the mix...)

Thanx & Cheers

Sounds great, brings me back to the last time rock actually rocked, in my opinion that was the 90's. This reminds me little or alice in chains meets tool, heck maybe even throw in some screaming trees. I like it a lot. The one thing I can say I am not crazy about though is the bass guitar, not that it's bad, it's just lacking life. It sounds like a guitar player playing bass. Plus the tone is little mushy. BUTTTT!! I really do dig the tune, and especially the vocals and overall kickass rock feel.

Thanx man!
You're right about the bass guitar, I'm no bass player, although I do enjoy playing bass (and I just love my Cort 5-string sweetheart...:)) I think I've improved a little since I recorded this one, but anyway, I just tried to give the song the bottom it needed. Alice in Chains were so cool, I adored their guitar sound, it was a wall! And I have only respect for Tool, they are great musicians. But seriously there are quite a few new bands around that are really good (a few of them on this site too...:D.)
Glad you enjoyed it!

Well I know, but it's all still lacking somehow. I mean I love a lot of the music I hear on this site, and i do like some newer acts like Vampire Weekend, Death Cab, The White Stripes and the other garage rockers carrying that banner are ok, but all in all this is a pretty week decade or so. Of course we did have System of A Down to rough us up a few years back though.

A little AIC, a little Soundgarden and that equals one ass kicker of a song. Man that vocal effect is sweet. No nits, just head banging goodness.

Really sounds great man :).

A little more modern ('90's?) stylistically than some of your other stuff I've heard. Mix sounds good to me...vox kick some serious ass.

I totally dig the non-traditional use of the guitars, especially the way they play together on opposite channels (left/right). Reminds me of AIC (like above mentioned) with some of the guitar tricks used in "Reflection" (TOOL - Lateralus track 11)

I almost wish the snare hit a little harder, but that could just be my speakers.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanx to all of you guys, I really appreciate it!
Of course the mix could be just a tick too limited and compressed, but the tracking was done with inferior quality stuff which I've managed to upgrade a little (no high end, but anyway...:o). Yeah, I tried to go a bit more modern on this one, kind of like the sounds I like to listen to these days.
Cheers
Joe
