fret buzz on drop-tuning

This summer is the first time I've ever attempted to record steel string acoustic, and I'm having a blast with my MSH's! I just wrote a song with the low e dropped to a d, and I'm getting copious fret buzz that normally isn't there. This isn't a huge mystery, of course there's less tension on the string, but is there a quick and cheap way to fix it, if only for a day or two while I record this song? In case it matters, it's a Takamine G series with fairly new d'addario ej17 medium .013-.056 strings on it.

The cheapest way to fix it is to loosen the truss rod and put up with the fact that you may have to gorilla-grip it. Of course this can introduce intonation problems but if you're not playing too far up the neck, it may not be enough to matter.

Some might say to go with a heavier bottom string but in my experience that doesn't work.

Do not do this.

Raise the saddle if you can by shimming, or use a heavier gauge string.
