Really? Why is that?
Muttley already answered, but here's a couple of reasons:
Unsubstantiatable snake oil claims about "clarity", "transparency", etc. of signal carried by their hideously overpriced cables, designed to pick the pockets of musicians. Where is my dadgum transparency meter, anyway?
Unscrupulous, predatory business practices, including trying to sue the pants off anyone who uses the word "monster" in any sort of marketing campaign, in any context, irrespective of whether or not they have any connection to audio.
I'll never buy anything from them. If someone gave me a Monster Cable, I'd take it out in the yard and run over it with my lawnmower.
