I musta been on a bender when this came out..I don't remember it:o, but this kicks ass. Great guitar sound and fantastic mix.

Some (not all) of the 80s music makes my hair :D stand on end, but I think you did a good job of recording as is the usual case. The important thing is....your wife likes it.

Thanks. Yeah she liked it. She even got a little teary. I'm like "Is it that bad"? :D

Damn Greg, I thought I had a nice little niche here covering cheesy '80's and other pop songs...thanks for nothin'! :p

This sounds really good...no problems with the mix here. I don't know this song and will have to check it out on youtube or something...I'm guessing it is kind of sucky?

My wife is kind of an '80's music fan (), so I asked her if she knew this tune..."nope"...but then I played your version and after the 1st verse she recognized it. "But this is a different version" she keenly observes (no shit), then I tell her it is by a fellow home recordist, and she's like "wow, that is good" and just the tone of her voice said it all. I play one of my tracks for her and I get, "that was good" in a tone that essentially says, "I wasn't really paying attention and I couldn't possibly care less".

Damn you Greg! :D

Lol. You shoulda said it was you. I wouldn't mind. :D

Thanks for listening. I'm glad you and your wife liked it. And yes, it is one super-cheesy song from the 80's.

Yeah she likes it. This gives me a few weeks of good karma in the bank. :D

Thanks for listening. :)

Yet, you made it tastier by adding less Velveeta than most 80's bands could restrain from. Yet ... I believe it was the late 80s that suffered from poor music ... really poor music.

Early 80s OTOH was the introduction of rougher edged stuff back into mainstream -- it was the natural response to the bland that pervaded mainstream at the time. It was also the period I was playing in bands (roughly 79 through 86) ... and I remember a LOT of great music from then.

Then the hair bands struck ... sigh ...

Actually, what impressed me most is that your recording IS better than the original ... and it's homemade.

Talk about what came a LONG way since then? (Which is, I suppose, why we're chatting here now)

Was the Casio a Sleazy 101? I've still got mine too.

Good job on this ... no nits from me.

Yeah I shouldn't say everything sucked in the 80's. Mainstream pop sucked though, to me, and that's what this song was back then. I think this song came out around 87-ish, but I don't remember for sure. It was glossy and sweet. Typical 80's pop song.

The Casio I used is some thing we bought for the kids last Christmas. It's pretty big - maybe like 40 keys or something like that. It's a trainer. It gives piano lessons. It has a little screen that shows the music and the keys light up to show you where to put your fingers. I don't think the kids have even looked at it more than 4 or 5 times. Lol. Supposedly it does MIDI, but I don't know anything about no MIDI, so it basically just sits there. I just turned it on and dialed in some cheesy tones and stuck a mic in front of the little speaker.

Thanks for listening. :)
