I just paid for items but got an error message... "duplicate trans".
I only punched the button once, is there any way of someone checking whether it went through or not?

There is one transaction that "went through" for you for the amount of: $335.52 using a Visa card, and is marked as PAID in the User Console. Please confirm this the next time that you log into the User Console.

This being said, there is a security measure put in place by the processor, not by me, that will NOT allow the same credit card nor check to be processed 2 times in a 24 hour period...

So if any of you have 2 seperate User Console accounts, and you plan on paying for both orders, you will have to wait 24 hours between each payment if using the same credit card or virtual check coming from the same back account.

Thanks in advance,

Randy

Well, only a few days left and this group buy will be closed for this year. Our quotas have been met and the order will be placed next week. In the future we might try something a little different, if not, we'll do another group buy (#5) next year.

Wow...I see 157 paid and 444 who have ordered but not paid. I sure hope a lot more folks are able to close the deal.

I'm sure that there will be a rush at the last minute to get paid... Payment frequencies are increasing everyday... We've had 19 today...

I, for one, haven't paid yet... And another member of this board, who got deployed to Iraq just before payment began, sent a personal check to me, and I'll be paying for his order as well...

So, there are a few out there, who will pay, but haven't yet... :)

Not necessarily. Our quota has been met and thats the important thing. Any more orders, just means more work LOL

I don't want to wish more work you! But I do want as many folks as possible to have some fun w/new gear. But if they've changed their minds--that's fine.

Excellent, I wonder if this has anything to do with Paypal refusing to process a payment for something totally unrelated to this GB. I'm trying to pay a gentleman in the US for a p/up but paypal are telling me that they're unable to process. I've checked my CC account and the funds are readily available.

I guess I'll soon be closing my account with them - funny, but previous to the problems we had on this most recent GB I NEVER had a problem with PP....now it seems I have one whenever I pay for something!

I think someone's put some voodoo on us all! :(

I'm assuming the gold coating is just paint or something similar. If it is actual gold, only very specific combinations of acids will dissolve it. You're looking at aqua regia or similar. Gold doesn't react much at all. It's really remarkably hard to remove without destroying the metal under it. If it is real electroplated gold, you might be better off electroplating the gold with a layer of silver instead. :D
I was just about to paint all my other mics gold to match the 6802 :D

I seem to recall 100 units or 200 units for the pre-amps as the price break point which we passed on the registration page long ago. Now that it's time to pay, the order size looks like it will be substantially smaller. Is there a chance the price of the preamps will go back up to the original price if we don't make it above a certain number?

I wouldn't worry .... I am paying Friday, as that's my payday. I suspect many are in the same kind of boat.

No, Chance has said that the quotas have been met. Somewhere I read (can't figure out where, though) that he said he had orders from folks that guaranteed this. I think it's all cool.

I'm yet to pay, still trying to decide between the 73 or 81...eq or di! arg I can't see why I would need a DI i've got plenty already

Randy,

Did you ever get the final processing fees renegotiated for virtual check processing.

If the order comes up to $2,000, what would the fees be for credit card and virtual check?

Thanks

If you paid $2,000 with credit card: $2,056.86

If you paid $2,000 with Virtual Check: $2,026.33

Thanks,

Randy

100. Realistically, it's not likely to be an issue.

We currently have 26.77% of orders paid.

The 73 is at 165 paid, so it is safe.
The 81 is at 91 paid.
The 84 is at 75 paid.

We can assume that additional orders will probably increase these numbers proportionally. As a quick check, 26.77% of the values would be 143, 100, and 80. So we're pretty much in the ballpark on all three, with the 73 a bit overly represented in the current set of purchases and the others slightly underrepresented.

So based on that, the 81 will be paid up after another 16 people pay, and the 84 will be paid up after another 48 people pay, give or take. That's 4% and 11% of the people who haven't paid. I'd be amazed if 89% of the people who haven't paid yet bail. :)

Of course, these are only approximate, but....
