Audiophile 2496 and a mixer?

Hi everyone,

I have the M-Audio Audiophile 2496 and i want to buy a mixer to plus my preamp in, my monitors and other future piece of equipement. My question is can i plus a mixer in the in of my card? I don't know what are the out of a mixer and my sound card have Stereo Out.

Yes. The mixer outputs on each channel will plug into the inputs of your interface. The outputs of the interface will plug into a inputs on the mixer.

Use different channels for in/out, of course.

Of course you can. You'll only have 2 tracks to work with at a time, but if you're recording yourself, then that shouldn't be a problem at all.

I'm using a Yamaha MG10/2 with my Audiophile 2496 and it's all I need. Read the article Ethan kindly posted, it tells you how to get everything connected.
