Yeah-that was the guitar alright-a Gibson SG-200! That one has been modded a bit, the pickguard has been added or modified, I think, and the Sunburst paint job isn't stock.
I'm amazed that there are still a few out there.......I recall those pickups were pretty low output and I don't think a humbucker would fit the slots that were there.

I should have kept it, my band back then-mid 70's-was doing some hard rock & metal stuff like Sabbath, Zepplin, Deep Purple & Montrose. Traded it for a Les Paul copy that I learned a lot of my playing on. I think the SG-200 was $150 or less back in the 70's.........:rolleyes:...Live & learn, I have kept most of my guitars since that though!
The one in the picture is the same as the one I had except I don't recall a cover over the bridge-probably was removed like all the old Telecaster covers.
