Ive been workin on this cover for three days and its getting close to being done. I need to adjust some levels and put in a few drum rolls in a few parts. I have get my son to do that. I cant do a roll very well. I have a hard enough time with keeping beat. I found a cool web site for the dentist drill. Its nothing but sound effects. Im easily excited :). Im playin all the stuff and singing. Bad singing, sorry. It was fun and frustrating getting it to this point. I had alot of synth stuff to mess with and thats new to me. A few more days tweaking and it will be done. Maybe not great, but done in my book :) Anyway have a listen. Its still in rough form and needs some stuff added. But Im tired and need a break for a few days. Its a classic rock song. Link below

I can't play this out loud as my Mrs has a dentist drill phobia.
I love the Wah!
The vocals work in an Alice Cooper dismissive sort of way!
Musically this is good fun.
Well done.

Yeow. I think that drill loosened one of my fillings :D

Your intro is spot on. You've done a great job emulating the arrangement and all the different sounds of the original. Good snare sound. Vocals are a little pitchy now & then, but otherwise good stuff.

Wow! Nice choice on a bit of a obscure one from Alice....off Billion Dollar Babies right? Agree with bulls hit about the snare...nice depth to it. Like the swaggering feel once the vocals start...the vocals seem a bit "back" in the mix as compared to the instruments. Love your guitar tones here crunch is great as is the quasi-surf tone around the 2:00 min mark. This sounds great on my headphones! Man , I gotta dig out my old Alice cd's and listen now :D.
Great job, I really dug it!!!!

They had some really cool sound effects at the site I used. Alot of drills. My wife was like "what the hell are you doin". Here is the link. Its a free sign-up. I could spend all day listening to some of the stuff.

My vocals are always pitchy :) . I did them and one take (well two). I did do some backing vocals. I have a few more instruments and rolls to add and some levels to tweak. I was gonna wait a couple days, but I thaught about this tune all night long. I need to just get my butt out there and finish it. That way it will get out of my head. Thanks for the reply.

Alot of people dont like Cooper. But from a musical stand point they were very good musicians. I have all his or thier stuff (early stuff they were a group or were they:rolleyes:). At about 3:00 in I screw up the hi-hat hits. I cant do rolls very well. I plan on doing Halo of Flies as my next hard tune. Thanks for the listen

Mp3 had noise artifacts that are now fixed. Sorry, should have listened to the mp3

I don't know the original, but this sounds pretty good. I think the drums can come out a little more. Guitars sound great. good job.

You always want the drums out front !! :) I want the guitars !!! Hell with the drums !!! :D

I'm a drummer, you're a guitarist, what do you expect? :D

Seriously though, bring the drums out more. ;)

Wiil do. By the way Im working on an American Indian type vibe song and I need some lyrics. You up for writing, lyrics dealing with American Indians. Or anyone for that matter. Its got a hard rock/metal feel.

I'm very familiar with this Cooper song and I gotta agree, the guitars need tamed down a bit, some reverb or something to drop them back in the mix-they are just jumping out too much over the rest of the mix.

I'm not much of a lyricist, and I'm sure that any Indian themed lyrics I could come up with would get me scalped by some drunk-assed injun.

Damn, see what I mean? ;)

Sounding pretty good....as Greg said, bring the drums up a little. Not alot, but they do seem to sit back too much. I think you nailed a great sound on them....use them...:D

Great job on this...I can't remember the last time I heard it....many moons ago....but this sounds pretty nice man...

Thanks. I'll get the drums up a few db and repost. As far as the lyrics for a Indian vibed song, my sons friend is gonna tackle it. He rights songs about war, vikings, mid-evil stuff. I was just playin guitar while the tune posted above was exporting and came up with several cool riffs. Cant wait to get started on it. But I own a tax preparation business and Im about ready to get very busy. I wont have too much free time. Thanks again for the listen.
