DP01 Sound Problem?

I did a quick record of my keyboard on the mic/line switch and my guitar on the guitar switch for the first time. I liked the result except that it was quickly done and VERY amateurish. So I deleted what I had done and did it over again with more care and more effort to do it better.

However, part way into recording the keyboard, I realized that I had forgotten to move the switch back to mic/line. I stopped, deleted what I had done, and moved the switch to mic/line and recorded my keyboard. I then moved the switch to guitar switch and recorded the guitar.

The sound, however, was now "tinny", "scratchy", downright awful!

Did I do damage to the DP01? Or am I doing something wrong?

Any help/advice will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dale

i have done that with my dp 01 fx. it hasn't resulted in any lasting harm. i suggest you power off, power back on and try again to see if you get the same result. you may have damaged it but i'm not sure how likely that is so the only thing to do is try again.

I think I solved the problem. I rerecorded and turned down the volume of my keyboard and guitar at source, not at the DP01. It sounds a lot better!

yeah, one problem with the dp 01 (all versions) is there's no overload indicator. well done for figuring the problem out :)
