I have those exact same speakers you have setting on top there.:D

A close relative of minumis 7's. Man I have had them for years & years.
Bought them at the local radio shack. Amazing speakers for there size, especialy considering the era.

Those ARE Minimus 7s with the "walnut" finish! :D

I also have a silver pair that I don't use much anymore.

I'll be damned, so are mine. I just looked at the back. For some reason I thought they where the optimus version (realistic was re-tagged optimus in the early 90's I think).

I bought those at the same time I bought a bunch of optimus gear.

Funny that you should ask this today. I'm using a pair of NS10s with the tweeters on the "outside" as per MadAudios' set up but last night I was watching a doco called The Voice.....when they interviewed Trevor Horne you could plainly see his NS10s set up with the tweeters on the "inside". Perhaps it's horses for courses.

I too have seen plenty of pic's with tweeters in.
I have a set of tannoys with tweeters in. I only use them for the "less than perfect stereo test" since they are celing mounted. Otherwise I prefer my monitors vertical.

I keep the tweeters "in" on mine to avoid having the highs pass thru the woofer's pressure wave (around the crossover point and below).

Sounds a little clearer to me, although it's probably just my imagination.

I talked to a Klein & Hummel guy last year who was telling me that any 2-way speaker should NEVER be placed horizontally as it creates phase issues at, and around, the crossover point. Makes sense to me really, especially when you consider cross-over frequencies & wavelengths and then look at the distance from tweeter-to-woofer...
