Ok, I'm the type of person who can usually figure things out on my own, but this time I am in desperate need of some help.
I am in the proccess of creating a respectable bedroom studio, and will be doing all my recording/mixing in the box. I currently have an new iMac and a set of Tannoy Ellipse 8 monitors sitting on my large desk, but need to raise the level of the monitors up about 8 to 10" (the tweeters are very directional in their vertical dispertion). I thought about moving the desk out further from the wall and getting some stands for the monitors to place behind the desk, but then my 24" iMac would be in the way and what would be the point of my large desk?
I guess my question is, does anyone have any suggestions for stands/risers that I can place on my desk to bring these up to the correct level? It doesn't seem like anybody makes monitor stands for this height. I'm up for any and all suggestions.
