that axe looks faaarkin haaawt!...even better than you described it True!
Is that what powerpoints look like over there?...faaaaa....

My first band really sucked....

So did my second one, and my third one does too!

But one of the guys had a little Greg B guitar that really did sound and play pretty well.

I think his parents got it for $250 back around 2000 or so... It had Grovers one it and a nice hard tail bridge and maple top. Almost a Les Paul but hand some kind of scoop out on it so it was not a lawsuit guitar....

I miss that band, and the guitar player has a records deal now.... I last heard from him in Nashville cutting his first full length with a band called The Ampros

Hey there, guitar junkie

Do you work at Frank's Violin?

Oh, nobody.

Never been there, but I hear you have a good luthier.

I keep meaning to take my upright bass in, it's got a little crunched spot on a corner, but I don't ever play it, so I guess I'll keep waiting.

I just like to know the locals here. I keep hoping we can organize a little get-together, but APL and I seem to be the only ones who come here consistently anymore.

I think Slowrider's a local, but he won't fess up.

Hey, just so you know, the GC in Greenwood's going to have a thing tomorrow with vintage cars and vintage guitars, with some bands playing. 12-5. Let me know if you go, maybe we can say 'hi'.

Shoot, I forgot to tell APL about it.

If you want to go to Kentucky Jam Fest next summer and need a ride, let me know. I'll be going unless something prevents me, like chrisharris and a shotgun. :D

I did some haggling at the local music store and traded my Les Paul Special even for this beauty. Plays better than any guitar I've ever owned and the tone is awesome.

Nice Kramer!!....what one is that....a Tele copy with double humbuckers?

Although the bottom of the body looks fatter and of course the headstock is different...so I guess I should word that as, *their version of a Tele*...:D

It's just like the blue one I posted a few days ago. It's a hybrid of a flat top les paul and a telecaster. The toggle, tone and volume knobs are clearly a tele layout. LOL They don't make these anymore. The standard Avion comes with single coil pickups. There were 2 of these ( the blue one I posted which my cousin owns) shipped to a local dealer a year and a half ago. I was going to trade even with my cousin for the blue one, but he backed out at the last minute.

I got a call from him friday morning telling me that he went by the music store it was hanging on the wall in the store for sale friday. The guy had actually kept it for all this time in his home thinking his grandson might want it. Long story short, I walk in monday and trade even for it.

My next move is to trade my Peavey ValveKing amplifier straight up for a Vox AD100VT Valvetronix amplifier. It sounds great and it'll knock your Di$k in the dirt!

yep
i have two GB Rockwells,,,a Formula tele ,,,and mandolin
they are all fantastic ! ! ! !

You traded an LP Special for a Bennett?!!??

Are you f*cking nuts?????

Gimme the number of that shop and in the meantime, tell me all about the Special!!!!

Believe me when I say this. It was a cheaply made piece of fucking shit! I cant believe they put Gibson on the headstock of those fucking shitars.

My old "The Paul" was a nice guitar and worthy of the Gibson logo, but don't think for a second that those Specials are even 1% of sounding or playing anything like a real Les Paul. I've played epiphones that played and sounded better than that piece of shit.

My mid-'70s Special has always been a great working guitar.

My "The Paul" was made in 1973 and it played great ( still does, my brother has it), but the new Gibson "budget" guitars are made very poorly.

Nice lookin guitar Kramer! I've been gasing for a G&L bluesboy, have you seen/played those? I played one at a local shop here while back and really fell in love with it.

I played a G&L awhile back and started to buy it, but funds were low. LOL They're great guitars!

Nice frankenstein type guitar. A little best of several great guitars. It really through me off. The headstock is somewhat like a Hagstrom. Congrats again Kramer.

When can I look forward to digging around in the dirt...?:D:eek:
