Budget is the deciding factor right now. Are you planning to record to your computer? If so then that's a good head start compared to buying a standalone recorder. The first thing would be to get some recording software. Eventually you'll want to replace the stock soundcard in your computer but given your age you probably don't have a whole lot of money to play with so more important than gear would be the ability to get your feet wet recording. Once you have software, you'll need to get a small mixer or mic preamp to connect to your soundcard so you can get your sounds into the computer. I'm not sure if you have access to any mikes but a Shure SM 57 would be great as it won't outlive it's usefulness. At this point I think the most important thing is to give you the ability to start recording and learning, the equipment will come in time. Of course maybe you do have a decent budget to get started on but when I was 14 I was broke as a joke (not much has changed, lol).
