Sounds great Harvey. The rest of the track sounds killer too. I have the SP TB-1 and I'm very satisfied with it, not quite the mic the T3 is but great bang for the buck.

We've been loving the Naiant MS-1O's for their detailed imaging. Here's a sample of them used as drum overheads. The flute mic was the Marshall V67g. The cymbal mics come to the front around 2:00 minutes into the song. The group is Spoonfed Tribe:

I Thought I Killed Her

My son Alex recorded the vocals on this song with the SP T3.

The artist is Liz Williams, from her new album "Senseless":

Just Another Typical Hey Day

Oh yeah, the overheads were the MSH-1O's

Nice work!

and finally, someone posts a sample of a mic IN THE CONTEXT OF A MIX.

Sorry, I kind's get sick of mic/pre-amp samples of a single instrument. It is in the context of a mix that a cheap mic/pre-amp really shows it's true "color".

Huh!
I don't sound like that when I sing over my T-3!

Seriously though, great track!
I love my T-3, I just need to find someone with some talent to take advantage of it.

Harvey,

Can you list the signal chain and processing used on that track to give us an idea of how Alex achieved the sound for that track?

Much appreciated! It sounds wonderful!

That's a BIG sounding song...killer vocals, and those are some nice sounding drums. Very good sounds.

According to Alex, it was the T3 mic > Millennia "Origin" SST-1 Preamp > an old Ashley SC-50 Compressor.

sounds really good harvey. may i ask what you used on the horns?

danny

I think the bass and the horns sound so good in that song. It gives it so much body. So tight. Beautiful everything. Cool stuff. It would do more for me if you had a BAD singer on the T3...thanks!

I just talked to Alex; the sax was recorded with a Shure SM7, and the other horns were recorded with the T3.

Does this woman have a CD out somewhere that I can buy?

Love it!
