Post Your Analog Recordings Here...

Hi izaakbinet, what did I post up there? haha If it was Sunday Afternoon, that was recorded on a Teac 2340sx with the Tascam M35. I'm a big fan of both of those pieces of gear.

I hope someone picked up that phone ringing in the middle of "Supernova" :)

I really enjoyed "20,000 Leagues." It reminded me a bit of Mark Mothersbaugh's score in The Life Aquatic. Good stuff!

Thanks. Nobody was at home.
Never heard of Mark Mothersbaugh, i have to should check him out

I imagine you've heard of his band from back in the day: Devo. :)

But his soundtrack on that film is awesome (IMO). I'm sure the bubbling sound effects in your piece helped to conjure up that in my mind, but in general, the composition was reminiscent of it. And I really love that soundtrack.

Yeah, i heard of Devo :e
The Life Aquatic songs are indeed similar in "concept"; more electronic sounding though.
I recorded acoustic drums at normal speed and played them back at high speed, which resulted in a somewhat electronic sounding beat too, i guess

Yes, I can dig that. :)

Here's a cheesey power ballad type song I wrote and printed to tape on the ol' Tascam 388.
A little messy :p:p

Thanks for the fix. I just copied and pasted, must have screwed it up by putting 2 http's in there or something.

How do you link things here? The way I did it obviously didn't work and I have some other things I want to add.
