I have just recently bought a peavey 3120 tube head. I've never recorded line out of a tube amp before, I'm used to using a pod. When i go line out of my peavey into my interface it sounds terrible. Its got this really dirty thin clipping tone. Am i doing something wrong?

May seem like a crazy question but, when you sit and track a guitar or a bass etc. with headphones on how do you sit comfortably? tryin to see if anyone has any tricks get this cord comfortably out of the way while you track. I know it sounds weird but id appreciate some feedback.

I have a Macbook and a 42" plasma screen link set up. When i put the mini VGA into my macbook i get a 60 cycle hum out of my monitors. I checked that this cable is not less that 12" parallel from the monitors power supply:facepalm: and i still get the hum. I'm out of solution ideas. Please help...

I have a pair of Samson rubicon R5a monitors, the frequency response is not very wide at all and my mixes tend to keep coming out thin. Sooo naturally i try to boost a little more and i get muddy mixes. I'm having a hard time finding an in between. Is there a way around this friends?

Hello all!! I was wondering if anyone knew the best direction for a digital mixer that interacts with logic (automation, faders, eq etc....) Possibly something in a price range of 500-1000 macaroons. I want that feel of a mixer as i am tired of using the on screen faders and such.

I've recently purchased the RTA producer desk and a pair of Auralex mo-pads. This may be my cleanest mix yet. It is my first mix with my new set up and those mo pads work wonders. I can really hear the difference in my mixes. Let me know what you think!!!

I have a large carpeted room with a few angled walls. The ceilings are 8ft and i'd say that the room is (off hand I'm away at college) 25x15 give or take a foot or two. I'm looking into sound treating the walls for a mixing environment. Where do i start?

I am tracking drums in a decently sounding room. They are very well made expensive drums and the toms sound beautiful. I am not very educated in Noise gates. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to Gate a rack and a floor tom so that they do not ring in the background of my drum...
