i've got a pro audio 2496 that i use for recording and everything else. i got the sblive because i was told i couldn't play midi with my aardvark card, which was true. but then i got sonar, and now i can play soundfonts and softsynths through my 2496. i don't do anything else with this computer...

i open it as i would a regular dxi synth, find the soundfont i want, hit 'load', set the midi track output to 'livesynth', but when i open the piano roll, there is no sound.

i'm using native insturments b4 organ, and when i tried to bounce the midi + synth to track, it crashes everytime. also, i tried a whole song mixdown (my first with sonar), and it crashed too. i did manage to bounce to track a couple of other softsynth tracks and a drum track with vsampler...
