    Wierd controller issue with Mainstage

I just upgraded to Logic 9 and noticed some weird behavior in Mainstage. Whenever I trigger a note on my Roland D-50 (I'm using it as a MIDI controller), sounds cut off right after I let go of the key. My sustain pedal doesn't work either. I also have a Yamaha P-85 and a M-Audio O2 which I also...

Patch Scripts don't work anymore in SE 3 - Help

Anybody else have this problem? No matter what I do, the patch scripts have no effect on the parameters in the Track Inspector. I just get generic bank/patch select dialog boxes rather than the list of Banks/Presets for my Motif and XP30.

One card on the road, another in the studio with SE - How?

Does anybody have advice on how to work properly with 2 different souncards? I have a Mackie Onyx 1220 with Firewire Option at home in my studio, but carry around a SB Audigy 2 ZS Notebook PC-Card interface when I'm travelling so I can still get decent latency numbers on my laptop. All other...

Can anyone help me with this one? I am trying to transfer one of my Songs on the Motif to Cubase (MIDI data, not audio). I want to record all 5 tracks in one take. For whatever reason, Cubase records all MIDI data from all 5 channels onto all 5 MIDI tracks I set up in Cubase rather than...

Looking for Virtual MIDI Patchbay for Windows

Does anybody know of a MIDI utility for Windows that would emulate the functionality of a MIDI patchbay? I am using my Motif6 as a controller via USB to control my Roland D50 and XP30 which are connected to a M-Audio MIDISport 2x2. I can accomplish this by running Sonar, but I would rather...

    Instant Prefab Recording Studio!

Well, not exactly... This could be a cool idea (with some modifications) for an instant recording studio: http://www.modern-shed.com/index.html I wonder if these guys would consider coming up with something specifically for us recording artists. I don't know how big of a market we could be...

Does anybody have sources for aluminum extrusions used for framing walls? How does it compare to framing walls with regular wood 2x4's? Does it make a difference as far as cost and soundproofing qualities? Thanks in advance.

There is hope for onboard audio!

Someone mentioned this over at Harmony-Central.com: http://michael.tippach.bei.t-online.de/asio4all/index.html It gives ASIO functionaliy to most onboard soundcards out there. I tried it with my eMachines laptop and HS2004 - seems pretty good so far. I'm down to 8.7ms latency with the...
