How much are the 880 and the 1680 new? What would be a good deal for both of them used. I have an 840 that I bought used, and I'm trying to figure out my options for an upgrade. Any input would be appreciated.

What is the difference between the 840 and the 880's and the expanded versions? And is there a big difference (besides the tracks) from the 880's to the 16 track models? The reason I am asking is it seems to me it would be more cost effective to get 2 used 8 series, rather than one 16 series.

i've basically been using the presets and am more than satisfied, but does anyone have any tips for programming and editing the sounds? Basically I want to be able to make the patches sound "unique". Also, could anyone give a general overview of the effects?

This may be a stupid question, but is it possible to use the combination patches in multi timbral mode? If this is possible could you please enlighten me, because I can't figure it out for the life me. Thanx
