JV-1080 TIPS

i've basically been using the presets and am more than satisfied, but does anyone have any tips for programming and editing the sounds? Basically I want to be able to make the patches sound "unique". Also, could anyone give a general overview of the effects?

A lot of the links are dead, but many aren't and will contain info about programming etc. plus a lot of free patches. There will also be links to other sites there.
