    499 tape

    I'm using 499 tape on my MS-16 Tascam unit. 456 is recommended for the machine, but I'm really having great results. Anybody have any thoughts about the difference in 499 & 456 ? Any pros or cons ? How about bias settings ? reeling and rocking, Chuck

    MP3s playback quality

    I've noticed my MP3 playback quality is not near the quality of my CD. Other musicians on MP3 have very good quality in playback. Would this mean the upload was faulty ?

    M80 reel to reel Forum

    Model: Fostex Model 80, 1/4" reel to reel. I have one and really like the clean sound I'm getting when recording through a Neuman M147 large condensor mic. I playback through my Yamaha NS10ms moniters and can't hear any hiss. Any other users out there ? Chuck
