Thanks guys. A mastering guy isn't quite in the question. I am doing this myself. Is there any way to explain this issue in a way that would allow me to work with it myself?

I am using an Alesis firewire interface with Logic. My problem is that I have never been to get my final mix up to volume. Ever. The master track is clipping but when I mix it down it only plays at about half the volume as other songs would in a car/big stereo/etc. Any advice?

yes, i am asking about acoustic drums. can you record takes for each tempo and paste them together? is this a crossfade?

How do you record a tempo change on drums? Or I guess what I'm asking is how do people record them so perfectly? Can you change the metronome settings in the middle of recording or something?

the main reason is because there are 8 inputs but only 2 of them are xlr with phantom power. I need 6 xlr inputs.

I have played a friends Orange 412 with Vintage 30's in it and it sounds amazing for every type of music I have played through it. The heads are really good for clean channel but I wouldn't use it for anything else. Just my opinion.

I am completely unexperienced to woodwork, but I found two 12 inch celestion 75 speakers lying around in the basement along with a large amount of oak plywood. I am going to build a 2x12 guitar cabinet...not for actual use (in terms of sound quality, etc) but for fun and past time. One question...

The 20 inch is the only drum I don't use. It is missing the bottom hoop and it has seemed impossible to find one to replace it. I reheaded all the other drums and they sound great. I use the 15" rack as the floor tom right now by mounting it to the ride cymbal stand.

I recently acquired a Rogers XP-8 "big r" drum set. The size are as follows: 14 rack 15 rack 20 floor tom 24 bass drum I was looking in to researching the set and could find absolutely nothing or no one that could tell me anything about the 20 inch floor tom. anyone seen these before?

is there anyone that owns or has played the ddrums punx set? despite the looks (which i don't ultimately care about) i am leaning towards this set for the huge bass drum and the price. pros/cons? i am mainly concerned about the sound that these toms will generate.
