I am using a Sure SM58 (for vocals mostly), but as it's the only halfway decent mic I have, I also use it for recording the old Acoustic. I use fingerstyle quite a bit, and I have a sort of percussive style, but being the inveterate fingenail muncher that I am, I don't get a lot of volume...
Now THAT is a good tip. Trouble is I'm still 'thinking analog' and not digital 'cos I've only gone digital the last couple of months. Thanx!I can see how that has great potential.
This isn't in the manual so I may be spitting into the wind here, but is it possible to halt mixing down to the stereo track to implement mixing changes and then restart the mixdown onto the stereo track? The AW16 doesn't have automated faders and I just don't have enough hands! Any suggestions...
Does anybody know of any way to upgrade my Alesis? I'm wondering if there is a replacement chipset or any way to get other sounds onboard. I don't want to go the high tech route and use it to trigger samples etc.
Also, as it only has 4 outputs what have other people found the best...
I've just bought a Yamaha AW16g digital multitracker. I have had it a couple of days and done a couple of songs. I recorded a song to CD which worked fine, I was very happy with the results, but after I recorded the second track (after mixing it down to the Stereo track) its name doesn't appear...
