I'm new to XLR cables, my mic strangely came with a 1/4" despite my friends model coming with an XLR... now I have to swap cable type. I know my mic needs a female 3 pin XLR... but what is the difference in the pin numbers for the other end? Is there a standard for microphones and recording?
