Saffire, LE or Saffire 6 USB?

I'm buying a new interface and clearing out my old soundcard/mixer combo... but I'm stuck on three interfaces.

1. Focusrite Saffire - £230

2. Focusrite Saffire LE - £120

3. Focusrite Saffire 6 USB - £100

Now as far as I can tell, the Top line Saffire and it's LE version has practically no differences? All I can see is one can sample at 192 and the LE peaks at 96. If I'm right in no real differences, then that'll rule out the £230 model.

Secondly, I'm told Firewire is vastly superior to USB... however the specs on the even cheaper 6 USB seem the same again?

My only uses are for vocal recording and I'll never need more than two mics, I'm yet to use more than one in 4 years... So inputs aren't important, as long as the preamp is as best as it can be. So can anybody more in-the-know with specs, point me at the best model?

the original saffire has onboard fx over the LE

i have the LE and for the money nice interface

no exp of the saff 6 sorry

I have the Saffire 6 USB. It sounds like it would suit your needs. No need to spend more if you only need 1 or 2 inputs.

I used to have a Lexicon Omega (borrowed). That was a good unit but I think the sound I get with the Saffire is superior, but that's just to my ears.

When I was shopping for a new interface, the recommendations always came back to the Focusrite for it's pre-amps. Since I never used any more than 2 inputs with the Omega (it has 8), and the price for both units was the same, I decided to go for the better pre-amps. I have not been disappointed.
