    Computer question

My son who is 17 wants a small laptop for school. What really is the difference between an AMD processor and an Intel processor. C7 swears by Dell products, frankly I think that they are all the same. I think that they are all built in the same factories for the most part anyway. Input?

    Rode NTK Mods?

I did a Google search for "Rode NTV mods" and came up with a guy that was replacing caps in NTK's. He is also replacing the Jenson transformers in NTV's with a custom-wound transformer of his own design, which doesn't seem like a very good idea to me.

    Guitar signal boost

Do a Google search for Jerry Garcia's wiring on the Tiger. Jerry used a buffering amplifier connected to a push/pull knob on the guitar. Instant jet-engine!
