"Is this only when mic'ed, or all the time? That is the way it sounds in the drumroom so the mics pick up that sound......specially the overheads. They pick up the bright stick attack and not much of the tone of the toms. Close mics pick up more tone therefore the attack it is less audible...

Yes... I have a Pearl session custom drumset and I don't know why I get too much attack of the shells. I want to minimize the sound of the stick hitting the head and hear more of the tone of the drum. I actually like the way my toms sound when I use earplugs. Is there a special head I can use...

The bottom of my window is 3' 5". I originally wanted it at 4' but due to ceiling height limitations I lowered a bit. From my mixing position I can see short or tall vocalist no problem. I would have loved to have a bigger window but I didn't want to spend to much $$ dough on glass. Also...

Don't be nervous...I did my ceiling this weekend and the RC holds just fine. I placed the RC on 12" centers and attached 5/8" drywall 1/2"celotex and 5/8" drywall Cheers. Luis.
