I am planning on buying either a Korg SP170 or a Yamaha P85 Digital Piano. Both of these pianos have MIDI outs, along with 2 headphone outs (1/8" i believe). Now i dont really want to buy a MIDI interface, nor do i care to ever use MIDI. How else can i hook this piano to my Behringer Xenyx...

I've tried and tried, and i just can not play ANYthing along to a click track. For songs without drums or hardly any percussion at all i can get by without it - but when i try to add any drums the lack of timing in my guitar playing really shows. Any tips? Maybe playing to a drum machine would...

an awkward panorama of my humble studio

I'm having troubles recording more that 10 tracks on a song, ESPECIALLY when that 11th track is a guitar track recorded with my Ln.6 pod (I dont know if that makes a difference or not). The whole file starts stuttering and freezing up. Is my computer just too junky to handle all these tracks...

I'm ordering mic cables for my drum mic set. Is there anything wrong with just getting a snake of 6 cables in a recording environment?

Hey all, my recording studio is about 20' x 17', and I will be recording drums, acoustic guitar, vocals, electric guitar, and electric bass in it. I have NO isolation between drums and vocals etc.. all intruments will be recorded in the same space (just not all at the same time - thank god)...

My Behringer board only has 1 headphone jack. What do i need to do to have multiple headphones (me, drummer, bassist) going at one time - WITHOUT affecting sound quality (or volume) in the phones? also, what would be the best way to extent the line so it can reach all the way to my drum kit...

How do you lower the volume of just a section of a track? say, a 1 second section of a track where i have a "pop"? can't seem to figure it out

I have 6 mics hooked into my mixing board, and im going to use all 6 at once on a recording. I am using 1 condenser for vocals, 1 condenser for acoustic guitar, and 4 dynamics for drums. when i power up my phantom power for the condenser mics, will it hurt the dynamic mics?

Is putting the kick mic inside the bass drum an accepted thing to do? or is it best to leave it outside on a stand facing a 7 o'clock hole?
