Anyone use pine board on the walls of there studio? I love the sound of rooms in music stores where they have done this. It is usually in the acoustic guitar room where they do this, would it be to sound reflective in a regular band setup situation ?

Is it possible to achieve good soundproofing without doing the room within a room process? I am thinkin about building a shop in the back yard that will be my jam room and studio . Looking at the room within a room method it will cost me alot more plus there is the hassel of ventilation and air...

I am thinking about building a studio in my back yard . I will build a garage and then build another room in side it for optimum sound proofing . I have read lots of good things at this site and others about the actual constuction of the walls etc and materials to use . What i'm wondering is...

I took the front head off of my kick drum to take out the pillow i had in there and i put a piece of foam 4inches thick by 8 inches wide and long enough to go around the whole inside of the drum..I think the drum sounds better with no head put back on ... way punchier!!! anyone else out there...

Anyone try this DIY project from the July issue of Recording Magazine? The drummer in my band wants to make one to try out but we are having a hard time finding a 45ohm speaker in where I live in Canada . Has anyone tried this with a different speaker than the 45ohm?

I bought a couple of minidiscs to record my band rehersals with to critique our playin and when i put them in the MD8 it reads as " No Disc " on the display . They were Memorex and quite cheap , two of them for the price of one Sony . Is this my problem ( buying cheap) ... any one else have this...

I have recorded drum tracks on tracks 1 to 4 and want to bounce them down to track 7 and am not having any luck .... I have read and reread the manual and tried this and that , can't figure out what the hell i'm doin wrong... any help would be appreciated....

Anyone used this effects unit and what are your thoughts . I'm, goin to return my Virtualizer Pro cause it won't work with my old PA head which i want to use it for as well as with my MD8 ..i like the look of the Nanoverb but they don't have one in and i would have to order it..

Anyone use this effects processer ?? Thoughts? I can get it for $199 canadian which is quite cheap for a processer with this many features the ART FX1 and the Nanoverb are only slightly cheaper with not near the features..

$29 dollars sucks ..... any Canadian users of MD machines find any good deals on the data discs...??????

Which one is best for recording harmonica?

I'm in the market for a compresser and effects unit what units have you guys used and do most of you use a couple of effects units or buy ones with more than one channel so you can send different effects to seperate tracks at the same time.?
