hey wuts up guys? Quick question, I'm looking at a self contained DAWs and wondering which has better sound quality... The new BOSS BR1180, or the Tascam Portastudio 788? The BR1180 has more features on it including a rhythm track, and a mastering kit, but what about the overrall sound quality...

correction... you CAN buy new mesas online, but not from US ran compaines. Foreign compaines also are more expensive (duh!); the price discounts and hikes are only applicable in the US. However if you live 125 miles from an authorized mesa dealer you can order them direct.

okay, this has been pondering me for a while. When I come up with a riff and a lead they both have very distinct sounds that are obvious to anyone. Thing is I'm wondering how a e melody sums up in all of this. When I set out to write a melody it sounds like I'm coming up with a cheesy lead...

for the majority of people, it would because 90 percent of people that listen to music listen to the lyrics. For me since I'm a guitar player first, I listen for good guitar work, and since I'm a poet second I listen for well written lyrics. But in any case, just like how poorly written music...

nobody likes behringer gear, cause they steal other people's designs (I like their midi foot controller though)... but if your going for something to get u by, a piece behringer can 'get the job done'.

one more thing hey another idea... if ur using the amp for recording don't. Since the jstation is a direct recording modeler, u shouldn't run it through an amp first; even when u run it on clean, the voicing of the amp will alter the sound from the jstation, and the amp simulation won't be as...

if u want a good portable marshall amp, get a atv2000, they sound better than the mgs, have more gain, and since it has a tube pre amp that i think sounds great. In my opinion it would sound a lot better on tape.

oh yeah! and what kind of material would be easiest to bend on?

thats what i figured, but does the width of it have to do nething with how easy it bends?
