what do you all think of this machine? i want to buy a nice, inexpensive (under$250), 4 track without sacrificing quality. if this one is no good what would you suggest?

thanks,
lestat

p.s. i am also looking for a good keyboard with the same limitations on price.

Try spending around a thousand, and you'll get something thats pretty good, not pro, but pretty good.

if i had a $1000, i would spend it gladly but i am short on cash and want to record some demos.

just try some of the tascam stuff

it'll sound like tape because its on tape, but it sohould get the job done, and i thnk its around 350 if i remember right

Maybe check out the Zoom PS-02???

Depends on what you want but it's digital ( only 3 tracks but you can bounce ) and I think they're selling it for $199US now.

Works for me as a decent quality sketchpad ( you might like it, you might not ).

Just my 0.000000000002 ( that's Australian Dollars ) :)

Go for it!!

I have a MRS-4, it's one fine machine.

If you have questions, I will be glad to answer.

I have a MP3 I made on this machine you can listen to if you want, let me know.

what i want to know is, how is the machine? worth the money?
i heard what you did and it sounds very good.

how do you get the songs off the card? do i have to buy something esle?

thanks,

Zoom has it's own card manager, for the MRS-4, you download it for free from their site.

All you need is a Smart Media Card Reader, I think they're about $30.00. They use USB port.

This machine is well worth the money.

The only thing that is a little pricey, is the smart media cards, but they seem to be coming down in price, due to compitition.
